Pius XI Performing Arts Family Kickoff @ Wendy Joy Lindsey Theater
Aug 24 @ 6:30 pm

Attention Pius XI parents! Do you have a student in the Performing Arts as a class or extra-curricular activity? If so, this event is for you!

Pius Parent Producers (PPP) is a fluid group of parent volunteers who come together each school year to help support all aspects of the Performing Arts. We need folks to volunteer time and donated items, as well as a core group of planners to help support our students, teachers, and Performing Arts Department. Please mark your calendar for the Performing Arts Kickoff and plan on attending. Students are welcome to attend as well. Even if you are a returning family, there is important information that you don’t want to miss.

What happens at the Performing Arts Kickoff?

  • Briefly meet the Performing Arts faculty
  • Receive a copy of the 2017-18 Performing Arts Season Calendar
  • Information on voice lessons, dance lessons, choir retreat, and forensics
  • Overview of department and PAC policies
  • Audition packets and sign-ups for fall plays
  • Information on volunteer opportunities

THE MARRIAGE OF BETTE AND BOO @ Black Box Theater
Oct 27 @ 7:00 pm
THE MARRIAGE OF BETTE AND BOO @ Black Box Theater | Milwaukee | Wisconsin | United States

By Christopher Durang
Directed by Jordan Hunt

As the play begins Bette and Boo are being united in matrimony, surrounded by their beaming families. But as the further progress of their marriage is chronicled it becomes increasingly clear that things are not working out quite as hoped for. Conveyed in a series of dazzlingly inventive interconnected scenes, this Obie Award-winning play moves wickedly on through three decades of divorce, alcoholism, madness and fatal illness—all treated with a farcical brilliance which, through author Christopher Durang’s unique talent, mines the unlikely lodes of irony and humor residing in these ostensibly unhappy events.

This production is suggested for adults and young people ages 13 and up.
