Join us for this free concert showcasing the work of the Pius XI Performing Arts Academy, our outreach program for elementary and middle school students!
Join the Pius XI Comedy Company for the final performance of the senior class! All night long we will be celebrating the Class of 2018 and sending them off in hilarious style. Special pre-show activities begin in the 5th floor hallway at 6pm; doors to the theater open at 6:30pm.
The Pius XI TED-Ed Club, in association with the TED Organization, proudly invites you to “An Evening of Big Ideas.” Join us as we present our original TED-style talks and celebrate the contribution that youth can make to the zeitgeist of the times. Admission is free and no RSVP is needed.

The Wisconsin Intergenerational Orchestra in concert – May 31 at 7:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend this free concert. WIO is a unique orchestra with members from ages 8 to 80. The performance will feature our training ensemble, Intermezzo, and our flagship symphony orchestra, the iGen Symphony. A wide variety of interesting and beautiful music will be shared. A town hall meeting in Anytown, USA provides the dramatic context for a panoply of songs in a wide range of musical styles and genres, whose cleverly constructed lyrics explore a vast array of contemporary hot-button social issues. Both ends of the political spectrum are satirically skewered over the course of the story, but the show offers sympathy to each side as well. Approaching its varied topics with wit and good humor, this full-length original musical by Jason Powell attempts to throw a rope-bridge over the ever-widening chasm of misunderstanding between the right and the left in modern-day politics.
This production featuring Pius XI Catholic High School students will travel with the American High School Theater Festival to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August, 2018! All proceeds from this performance will help defray travel expenses as the students and directors travel to Scotland.

Come join us for a fun-filled week of theater taught by members of the Pius XI Performing Arts Department! Campers will improve their skills in acting, singing and dance while working on a popular musical theater show. Campers will perform their show at the conclusion of the camp. Beginners and seasoned performers are welcome. Bring a lunch and water bottle each day.

Kids from Wisconsin will Shine the Light on 50 Years!
The High-Energy, Can’t-Miss Musical Performance of the Year
Presented by The Rotary Club of Wauwatosa

The KIDS will celebrate all summer from June 21- August 18, in over 35 hometowns across the state and twice daily at the Wisconsin State Fair, as they mark a milestone 50th year of performing and molding professional performers.
This year’s show theme, “Shine the Light,” will feature music performed since the inception of the Kids from Wisconsin. Some of the KIDS all-time audience favorites will be featured along with 5 decades of Broadway. KIDS will Shine the light on our past 50 years while lighting the way for the next 50.
In their 50th season, the KFW will have performed for approximately 10 million across Wisconsin and the Midwest, with great entertainment by some of Wisconsin’s most talented performers ages 15-20. The revue is produced in collaboration with some of the best writers, arrangers, and choreographers across the country.

Do you enjoy jazz music? Always dreamed of being a jazz musician? Curious about what it is to play jazz? This camp is for you! Middle school musicians entering grades 6-9 who have played their instruments for at least 1 year will enjoy learning how to play the basic styles of swing, rock and Latin music. Any band instrument is welcome as well as piano, bass and drum set. Friday’s class will include a mini-concert for parents and friends.

Join us for our annual summer International concert as an accomplished group of German musicians joins us for an exciting evening of music from around the world. The Choir, Orchestra and Big Band of the St. Bonaventura Gymnasium (High School) in Dillingen, Bavaria will charm the audience with classical, contemporary, popular and jazz favorites. Pius Parent Producers (PPP) is a fluid group of parent volunteers that come together each school year to help support all aspects of the Performing Arts. Sokol Milwaukee, celebrating 150 years of “A Sound Mind in a Sound Body,” proudly presents THE ACCIDENTAL HERO–the remarkably true story of a Wisconsin hero
THE ACCIDENTAL HERO is a multi-media one-man show about a WWII American officer who miraculously liberates the Czech villages of his grandparents. It’s a true story, written and performed by his grandson.
Patrick Dewane’s grandfather refused to talk about his service in the war. Yet when he died his basement yielded a treasure trove of typewritten accounts, photos and rare film footage.
Dewane brings this archival material to glowing life as an enthralling, humorous and heartwarming tale of miraculous escapes and astonishing coincidences. This touching show runs from belly laughs to tears. Dewane takes a dozen different roles as he powerfully recounts his grandfather’s journey from Omaha Beach, the Battle of the Bulge, and the end of WWII. In the last week of the war, Konop’s story turns from another soldier’s tale to something from mythology as he discovers his Czech roots.
Like Luke Skywalker, he thinks he’s just fighting the Evil Empire, whereas the real story is about his once-obscured identity. But unlike Skywalker, the story is true.
Experience the music of Pius XI choirs! Their fall concert features all ensembles singing a selection of spirituals and uplifting songs.
Founded in 1891, The St. Olaf Band, dubbed “one of America’s preeminent bands” by The New Yorker, will perform in the Midwest on its 2018 national tour. The St. Olaf Band performs the very best compositions and transcriptions for symphonic band, producing an exciting, crowd-pleasing style. Included on this year’s tour program will be Dr. Mahr’s Symphony No. 1, which received its world premiere in 2016.
