Roots and Wings – February 19th through May 1st, 2014
Have you ever wondered where a foundation of skills in Visual Arts can take your professional career? Have you thought you had the answer? Challenge those notions and expand your horizons with “Roots and Wings” displaying the works of four alums from the Pius XI Class of 1992 in the Carron Family Gallery and the Joseph and Harriet Kern Gallery.
See how a Director of Professional Development for Teaching Artists educating underserved youth in Chicago, a Hollywood Creature and Effects Fabrication Artist, a Film Producer/Actor/Editor/Director and Community Director for a Film Collective, and a Tattoo Artist and Owner/Operator of Adambomb Gallerie make sense of their world through their own unique visual expression when not at their day jobs. On offer for this show will be sculptural installation, photography, drawing, painting and mixed media.
